Charles Peterson

Charles Peterson has often been referred to as the painter of memories or the 'ghost painter'. His art depicts a modern image, infused with the life and activities of generations past. Charles Peterson likes to remember the way we were and his work reminds all of us of the good Midwestern values of love, family and labor. Although art has always been a part of his life, he did not begin painting full time until he was 45 years old, after leaving a 20-year teaching career. He was born in Illinois, but now calls Door Country, Wisconsin home. Popov's Art Gallery is proud to display this acclaimed Wisconsin artist's work.
