Popov's
History
Bo and Donna Popov first opened their doors in 1955 as a
bait and tackle shop. Bo was a former DNR official and truly
loved the outdoors, including hunting, fishing and scuba
diving. He left the DNR to open Popov's with his wife, Donna,
in order to help educate and equip others to enjoy the outdoors
as well. Over the years, the business evolved to carry wildlife
gifts and art, until Popov's fully transformed into a gallery
and gift shop after Bo passed away in 1986. Donna and Susan,
their only daughter, continued Bo's legacy. Today, Popov's
has evolved into a one-of-a-kind business, bringing together
unique fossils, exquisite children's furniture, wildlife
art, gourmet kitchen ware and so much more; all under one
roof in the magnificent Northwoods of Wisconsin. Despite
the years of growth and change, two things have remained
constant, the quality and the family; Donna, who is nearing
90 years of age, and Susan still carry on the family tradition
and personally invite you to experience Popov's.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our
loyal customers, many of whom have been with us for decades,
making them more like family than customers. Thank you for
making Popov's a 55 year tradition.

The Original Store in 1955
We are honored that Popov's was recently highlighted in
the publication 'Treasures of Wisconsin', where this photo
was displayed, showing three generations of Popov's.
