Peggy Karr brings color and fun to any kitchen
or any table! Each piece of Peggy Karr is created through
an extensive process, beginning with an artist's drawing,
from which computer-generated stencil patterns are made.
Each stencil is used to apply a specific color to the
bottom piece of glass. Peggy Karr formulates and produces
all of their own colors, which are a combination of finely
ground glass and ceramic pigments; this process makes
them unique in the industry. Once all of the colors are
applied to the bottom layer of glass, a second piece of
glass is applied over the top of the design. The art is
then fired in a specially designed kiln which fuses the
two pieces of glass together, forever capturing and preserving
the design between the glass.
Peggy Karr makes numerous delightful patterns
and each pattern comes in a range of pieces, but the standard
pieces in every pattern are circular plates from 6"
to 14" diameter, bowls from 9" to 11" diameter,
rectangular trays from 10" to 18" length and
square bowls from 10" and 13" width.
Popov's carries a range of Peggy Karr designs and products,
a few of which are pictured below.
